Bruce Alan Brown, PhD
Dr. Bruce Brown serves as an operations coordinator and instructor for The Bloomsbury Protocol Institute…A Division of Bloomsbury. A retired Colonel, USAF (26-year career military officer), Dr. Brown brings a breath of experience to include protocol/hospitality, executive services, business acumen, and communication skills. While on active duty he served as a protocol officer, aid-de-camp, special assistant, and executive officer to three different four star general officers both in the Air Force and the Army. While in these positions he was responsible for official visitations, Congressional interaction, and budgetary issues. He has conducted visits/conferences that have included the President of the United States, the Queen of England, Secretary of Defense, Senators and Congressmen. His expertise was further recognized when he was appointed to the United States negotiating team under President George H. W. Bush for the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I) with the former Soviet Union. His two years in Geneva, Switzerland were well spent with the culmination of the treaty while serving as the U.S. editor and point of contact with the Soviet Union’s representative. Upon his retirement, Dr. Brown entered industry and served as the senior business developer for the western United States. The corporation grew from a $70 million a year business to in excess of $400 million and during the journey made its initial public offering. During the past seven years he has served on the University of Phoenix staff as an instructor in their Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Doctoral programs. Dr. Brown holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia, an MBA from Louisiana Tech University, and a PhD from Walden University.
