Khristie S. Barker

Khristie is a freelance program developer and instructor for The Protocol Institute…A Division of Bloomsbury. Currently working for the United States Air Force in Hawaii, she has gained numerous experiences in the protocol arena. Her experience with protocol and etiquette began young as she worked closely with her parents in the political arena; including the attendance at many state dinners and social events involving U.S. Senators, Governors and even the Vice President. As an adult, these experiences have transpired into organizing the visits of various Secretaries and Under-Secretaries, Senior Ranking United States military officers, members of the Senate and Congress, and numerous international visitors to include dignitaries from Pakistan, Thailand, Japan and Greece. She takes a great sense of pride in organizing details and adding a creative/artistic flair to accentuating a visitor’s experience. Additional experiences include working with various media formats, conducting marketing research, developing and creating advertising and sponsorship programs, and being a creative and publicity director for military recreation programs. Khristie Barker holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Business from Colorado State University and a Masters’ Degree in Business from Webster University.
